Hardy K. Dorsey, Sr., is a proud graduate of Lincoln University (MO). He graduated with a degree in education in 1969 and was a teacher and school administrator for the St. Louis public school system for 4 ½ years. He left the school system to develop Inroads St. Louis, a non-profit organization focused on developing minority students for business and engineering opportunities in corporate America.
Hardy later joined IBM in Marketing and became an executive in his 17-year career. He formed the Dorsey Management Group in 1993 as President/CEO and worked with many Fortune 500 companies in the areas of leadership strategy, and developing high-performing organizations.
Mr. Dorsey has served on the Foundation Board of Directors since 2003 while he was National Alumni President for six years. During his tenure, he was involved in the Foundation’s preservation of the university president’s house, the underwriting of the Soldiers Memorial and the gifting of millions of dollars to deserving students over the years.
Hardy currently serves as Presidents of the Foundation, Secretary to the board of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta and serves as the chair of public policy. He also serves as chair of the Human Resource Committee for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Hardy has served on numerous boards and in leadership roles over his career.
He and his wife Wanda live in Sandy Springs, GA. They have two adult children and six grandchildren.
