Jack Markway is a 1972 Lincoln University graduate with a BS in Building Engineering. He became a commissioned officer in the US Army through the university’s ROTC program. Later, he was honorably discharged having attained the rank of Captain.
While at Lincoln University, Jack was a member of the baseball team and pitched the first game of the newly formed program. He was voted MVP of the baseball team in 1971 and 1972. He is a member of the LU Blue Tiger Athletic Club.
Jack is the owner of PIC Supply Company, a petroleum and industrial equipment company which he co-founded while a student at Lincoln University. He is a licensed electrical contractor, master electrician, holds numerous EPA/MDNR certifications, has directed construction projects in several states and consulted on many water pumping projects with national companies. He is a past member of the Linn State Technical College Advisory Board and has been an active community volunteer and sponsor for more than 50 years.
Jack resides in Jefferson City with his wife of 48 years, (Peggy). They have three grown children and four grandchildren.
